Lynne Merchant is the system administrator, programmer, and illustrator for the group. She is also the web developer for the Scripps CO₂ program designing, programming, and managing web content.

Activities

• Program routines to analyze data and produce graphical output.
• Independently manage computer facility comprised of Sun file-server and Sun, PC, and Macintosh workstations.
• Develop and maintain laboratory website providing atmospheric carbon dioxide research to academia and the general public.
• Create graphics and illustrations for publications and presentations using Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint, and Acrobat.
• Develop and maintain programs to update and query sea water databases.
• Provide technical support and training to staff in their use of computers and software.
